Dive Deeper into the World of DaschBosch Wines
DaschBosch Wines are more than just a beverage; they are a journey into the heart of South Africa’s wine country. Each bottle tells a story of the land, the climate, and the passionate people who dedicate their lives to crafting these unique wines.
The DaschBosch Difference
What sets DaschBosch Wines apart is their commitment to quality and authenticity. Their wines are made from old vines that have spent decades growing in South Africa’s diverse landscapes, from sun-drenched mountains to fertile plains. This long growth period allows the vines to develop a depth and complexity of flavour that is truly unique.
A Taste of South Africa
One of the standout offerings in our DaschBosch range is the DaschBosch Avon Clairette Blanche. This wine is crafted entirely from the Clairette Blanche grape, a rare variety known for its unique and complex flavour profiles. On the nose, you’ll notice subtle leesy and fresh aromas, while the palate boasts a delightful blend of greengage and citrus fruit flavours. This wine is the perfect companion to light meat dishes, zesty salads, and seasonal seafood options.
The Journey from Vine to Bottle
The journey of a DaschBosch wine begins in the vineyard, where the grapes are hand-picked in the early morning to ensure optimal ripeness and quality. The grapes are then whole-bunch pressed and settled for 24 hours before being racked to French oak barrels for further fermentation. The wine is then aged for six months with regular ‘bâtonnage,’ creating a beautiful texture and mouthfeel. Finally, the wine is racked from the thick lees with sulphur added and aged in the same barrels for a further 2-3 months.
