Reyneke Organic White
The organic wine range reflects our “less is more” approach. Nature, after all, is wonderful. These wines are approachable and balanced without being overly complex. The grapes for our organic range are grown at a slightly lower altitude. The resulting climate and soil fertility lends itself to making wines that are fruit driven. All our wines in this range are organic (Eco certified), vegan- friendly & an ideal go-to wine for enjoying any day of the week.
Tasting Notes
The nose presents gooseberries, guava and lime zest, with a small hint of cut grass. Flavours of green apple, citrus and a slight saltiness follow through on the palate, with the creaminess of the Semillon coming through towards the end. The wine is fresh, grippy and has good texture, all contributing to a well balanced wine.
Blend Information

In The Cellar
The two thirds of grapes are sourced from organic vineyards around the Western Cape, which are mainly planted on sandy loam soils. The rest of the grapes originate from Reyneke Wines. Standard white winemaking is carried out on Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon separately. The grapes are destemmed with two hours of skin contact. Using only the free run juice, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. After 5 months, further ageing occurs in stainless steel on the fine lees. The assemblage is made up and bottled.
Reyneke Organic White
WE BELIEVE there’s a lot to be said for the way winemaking used to be. There were no chemicals, no “technological advancements” that made the process a process, and natural balance was more important than balance sheets.
Some people dismiss it as old-fashioned nostalgia, but we like to think of it as ancient wisdom. And we embrace it as much as we can. Not just because it’s better for the earth, but because it makes for better wine.
